I have never seen this "American Idol" show, but I think I like this Simon guy. Here he is on the French:
"We [the British] have hated the French for years. Now you [the United States] have just joined the club. It makes you much more likable."
Anybody who doesn't like the French can't be all bad (well, aside from the Nazis).
