The Latest "For the Children"

This nut-ball, Jeremy Zilber, has published a children's book titled "Why Mommy is a Democrat".  Here is the cover:

Have you ever seen an uglier squirrel?  And here is one of the pages from the book:

It's a mistake to take this stuff too seriously, given that anyone outside the tinfoil hat, barking moon-bat brigade (1) will realize that this is extremely silly, and (2) will have some serious  second thoughts about aiming political propaganda at small children, even when you agree with it.

That being said, I note that this sample page does provide a pretty good illustration of the difference between democrats and republicans.  Democrats do look upon government as a surrogate parent (does anyone remember "the Ponytail Guy" from the 1992 Clinton, Bush, Perot debate?).  And there isn't any question that republicans think that you don't have to share your toys if you don't want to (although it would be nice if you did) while the democrats are more inclined to  "make sure" that everyone shares (Just like Mommy!).

BTW, I wanted to see just what it is that Jeremy Zilber does when he is not writing children's propaganda, so I looked him up.  I will surprise no one to learn that "Dr." Jeremy Zilber is a professor who teaches political science at one of our institutions of higher learning.  Anyone want to bet whether conservative kids get a fair shake in his class?  (Thanks to Wizbang for pointing out this little bit of nonsense).

I had Prof. Zilber for an American Government class at the Univ. of Wisconsin. He tried so hard to be funny but all of jokes fell flat. Not really a biased professor, just a really boring one.
